Private by design: never recorded, nothing kept on AI servers, on every account

The AI receptionist you set up by talking to it. On your own number. Nothing kept on AI servers.

Nova answers on the number your customers already know, books real appointments, speaks 30 languages and writes you a record of every call. You build it by describing your business out loud, and it is ready by the time you hang up. Nothing is ever recorded or kept on the AI's servers, on any account, which is why clinics, law firms and public bodies can put it on the phone at all.

From sole traders to banks and governments. Pay as you go from £10 with no subscription, plans from £35 a month, or an Enterprise agreement with contracted minutes, your own telephony account and departments on one number.

Features

A receptionist that never sleeps

Every missed call is a customer choosing your competitor. Nova does everything a great front desk does (answering, booking, looking things up) for a fraction of one salary.

Live in minutes, not weeks

Tell Nova about your business in a few minutes of conversation and it builds your receptionist for you. Or start from a ready-made assistant for your trade (reception, clinic bookings, restaurant reservations, estate agency, support desk) and change the words to yours.

Keep your own number

The number your customers already know stays exactly as it is: nothing to port, nothing to reprint, nothing your callers notice. About a minute to set up.

It answers the calls you can't

Keep answering the phone yourself and let Nova catch what you miss. Ring your own line first and it picks up after a few rings, or hand it just the evenings, weekends and the lunch hour. Set opening hours per number, and the dates you're closed.

Puts callers through to the right person

Anyone who asks for a person is put through on the same call. Name one destination or several (reception, accounts, the on-call engineer), give each a rule in plain words, and Nova picks the right one from what the caller says. Whoever simply asks for a human goes to your main line. If nobody picks up, it comes back, takes a message and tells you.

It tells you what it missed

The moment a call goes unanswered, and when your talk time runs low: in the app, and by email if you want it, plus an optional daily digest. You find out from Nova, not from an annoyed customer.

It wins the call back, then the review

Miss a call and Nova rings the caller back within a minute, or texts them so they know you saw it. Mark an appointment completed and it texts a thank-you with your review link. The two things that turn a missed ring into money, on by a switch.

Premium voices, human warmth

Hand-picked premium voices with natural pacing and tone. Callers regularly forget they're talking to software. Choose the voice that fits your brand.

Books appointments and cuts no-shows

Callers book, reschedule, and cancel against your live availability: Nova's calendar, Google Calendar, or Cal.com. It texts a confirmation, then a reminder before the appointment, so fewer people forget. No phone tag, no double bookings.

A written record of every call

Full transcripts and one-line summaries the moment a call ends: searchable records for follow-ups, disputes, training, and compliance. Need the same details from every caller? Give the assistant your questions and the answers come back typed, on the call and in your own system.

Answers with your facts

Upload your documents or point it at your website. It quotes your prices, your policies, your opening hours, never a guess. Give one assistant several knowledge bases, one per department or service, and it answers for all of them in a single voice.

Works your systems mid-call

Custom tools call your APIs while the customer is still on the line: look up orders, check accounts, raise tickets. No 'someone will get back to you'.

Plugs into the system you already run

Every finished call is pushed to your own software as it ends: transcript, summary, caller, anything booked or taken. Enterprise accounts also get the API, so your platform can read any call, or have an assistant place one, without anyone logging into Nova.

Premium quality, small-business price

This isn't the cheap option: it's the premium one, priced like it isn't. Natural voices callers forget are AI, answers drawn from your own facts, privacy built for businesses that answer to regulators, from £10 of pay-as-you-go credit or £35 a month. The good one, not the budget one.

Private before you touch a setting

Not a mode, not a setting: conversations are deleted everywhere but your own dashboard, seconds after each call ends, for every account, always. Built for businesses that answer to regulators.

Warm hand-offs & outbound

It knows when a human should take over and transfers the call warmly to your own people, and it places outbound calls from your own caller ID.

30 languages, auto-detected

Answers in whatever language the caller speaks and switches mid-sentence if they do. It understands the UK's own voices too: Glaswegian, Geordie, Scouse, Brummie, Cockney, Yorkshire, West Country, Welsh and Ulster English, right down to Gibraltar's Llanito.

Privacy

Your callers' conversations never leave your control

Most voice AI keeps your customers' conversations indefinitely, and buries the switch that stops it. Nova doesn't have a switch: nothing is ever retained on the AI vendor's servers, for any account. If you work in dentistry, law, finance or healthcare, this is the part that decides whether you can use AI on the phone at all.

Never on the AI vendor's servers. For anyone. Ever.

There is no setting to find and none to get wrong: every conversation is deleted from the voice AI's servers seconds after each call ends, and audio is never recorded there, on every account, from the very first call. Your dashboard keeps the only copy.

The calls your team takes never reach an AI at all

Put Nova behind your own phone and the calls you answer yourself are simply connected: no audio sent, no transcript made, nothing to delete afterwards, because nothing ever left. It only listens to the calls nobody else could get to.

Or keep nothing at all

Stricter still: switch call history off and every call is anonymised the moment it ends: caller numbers blanked, transcripts never written. Only durations survive, so your usage totals stay accurate.

You choose how long, we do the deleting

New accounts keep call history for 30 days; make it a year, two, or forever if you'd rather. Anything past your window has its transcript, summary and caller number erased automatically: no ticket, no request, no waiting on us.

Callers are told it's AI, automatically

Every assistant starts each call by saying it's an AI, on by default, in your own words if you prefer. Most platforms leave that to you to remember; getting it wrong is your liability, not theirs.

The paperwork already exists

A data processing agreement, a plain-English privacy policy, and a named list of every sub-processor we use and why. The documents your compliance officer asks for, ready before they ask.

Encrypted, and access you can prove

TLS on every leg of every call. Credentials sealed with AES-256-GCM. Two-factor authentication, and an audit trail of every sensitive action taken on your account.

Right-to-erasure is a button, not a ticket

A caller asks to be forgotten? Type their number in Settings: their calls, transcripts, messages and past bookings are erased, including the voice AI's copies. A single call can be erased the same way. And everything we hold for you downloads as one file, whenever you like.

Time-wasters don't run up your bill

Off-topic callers get politely redirected, warned, and if they persist the call ends and the caller is flagged for your review. One click blocks their number, and blocked calls are refused before they cost you anything.

From a sole trader's single line to an enterprise switchboard: if your phone matters to your business, Nova answers it.

How it works

Live in an afternoon

No telephony project, no IT ticket, no consultants. One afternoon: write your assistant, put it on a number (take one from Nova, or bring your own in your own name) and point it at your line.

1

Talk to Nova, and it builds your assistant

Press Build by voice, answer a few questions about your business (what you do, your hours, your services, what it must never promise) and your receptionist is built by the time you hang up, website and all. Or describe the role in plain English yourself and pick its voice. No scripts, no flowcharts.

2

Put it on a number, and say when

Take a fresh number from Nova, keep the one your customers already know by forwarding it to us, or connect your own Twilio account. Then choose what it answers: everything, only what rings out at your end, or just the hours you're closed. Bring your own account and you hold the provider relationship: they bill you, Nova never releases your number, and you can leave whenever you like with your line.

3

It starts earning

Every call answered instantly, every appointment booked, every conversation on record, from the first ring.

Questions worth asking

Ask them of us, and of everyone else you are considering, including the human answering service you may be paying now. These are our answers.

Where do my customers' conversations end up?

In your dashboard, and nowhere else. Audio and transcripts are deleted everywhere else seconds after each call, on every account, from day one, without configuring anything.

How long is any of it kept?

As long as you say: 30 days to two years, or until you delete it. Anything older is erased automatically, without asking us.

Do I have to replace my receptionist?

No, most businesses shouldn't. Point the number at your own phone first and let Nova answer only what rings out, or give it just the hours you're closed. The calls your team picks up never touch it, and never touch an AI supplier either.

Can it put callers through to a real person?

Yes, on the same call, and it is the first thing it does when someone asks for a human. Give it one number or several (reception, accounts, the on-call engineer), each with a rule in plain words, and it chooses from what the caller says; anyone who simply asks for a person goes to your main line. If nobody picks up, Nova comes back on the line, takes a message and tells you the call was missed, so nothing is lost in the hand-off.

Whose phone number is it?

Yours to use from day one. We can set you up with a number, or you connect your own Twilio account and keep the one your customers already know. Bring your own and Nova never releases it: leave whenever you like and your line goes with you.

Can I keep my existing phone number?

Yes, and you don't have to move it. Keep the number your customers already dial and just forward it to Nova, a standard call divert your carrier already offers. Nova answers every call: nothing to port, nothing to reprint, nothing your callers notice.

Does it work with the software we already use?

Yes, in three directions. Mid-call, custom tools let the assistant call your own endpoints while the caller is on the line. After the call, the webhook posts the transcript, summary, caller details and anything booked or taken to your system as signed JSON (Pro and Enterprise). And Enterprise accounts get the API: your platform can read any call, or have an assistant place one, with a key you create in Settings.

Can Nova run inside a contact centre?

Yes, as the AI layer in front of your agents, not a replacement for your contact-centre software. It answers every call the moment it rings, however busy the night, in 30 languages, handles the questions that need no account access, looks a customer up through your own API once your own security check has passed, and transfers the rest to a person. Online casinos and betting operators are a typical fit: peak nights, round-the-clock multilingual support, and safer-gambling calls that must reach a trained human, which a rule and the transfer tool make the first thing it does. Nova keeps transcripts, never recordings, so if you must record calls for disputes, ask us first whether a transcript satisfies your compliance team. The same assistant also runs as a chat window on your website, in your colours, so phone and web support share one brain and one transcript feed.

What happens when I want to leave?

Export your assistants to a file, download everything we hold for you (calls, transcripts, messages, appointments) as one JSON file, cancel monthly, keep your number. No notice period, no migration project, no hostage-taking.

If a caller invokes their right to erasure, what do you actually do?

Nothing, because you can do it yourself, immediately. Enter their number in Settings and every call, transcript, message and past booking about them is erased, including the voice AI's copies. A single call can be erased on its own the same way.

Can you give me a DPA?

It's already written and on this site, alongside a named list of every sub-processor and what each one sees.

What does an unusually busy month cost?

You know before it happens. Minutes are prepaid or included, calls stop rather than silently billing you, and there is no per-minute overage surprise at the end of the month.

How long until it's answering calls?

Minutes, honestly. Talk to Nova about your business for a few minutes and your assistant is built while you speak; or start from a ready-made one for your trade and change the words to yours. Then put it on a number: take one from Nova on the spot, or connect your own Twilio account to keep the number your customers already know. That's a self-serve signup like any other, done once, so that number and its bill stay yours.

Are callers told they're talking to AI?

Yes: every assistant announces it at the start of the call, on by default, in your own wording if you like. You are not relying on remembering to write it yourself.

What stops someone burning my minutes with nonsense calls?

Every call has a hard time cap, off-topic callers are wrapped up quickly rather than entertained, and repeat offenders can be blocked with one click, after which their calls are refused before they're even answered, at no cost to you.

A human answering service typically runs to hundreds of pounds a month before per-minute charges. Nova starts at £10 of pay-as-you-go credit, or £35 a month with a number included, answers every call in under a second, and never puts anyone on hold. When a caller needs a person, it rings yours.

Bespoke

For banks, insurers, governments, healthcare groups, contact centres and betting and gaming operators. Fully custom, priced for your call volume, not a rate card. One number can answer for the whole organization: callers ask for a department in their own words and are handed to that department's assistant mid-call. No menus, no "press 1", no being asked to repeat yourself. Or make it invisible: one voice for the whole organization, every department's knowledge behind it, and the caller never hears a hand-off. And it fits the systems you already run: the API lets your own platform read every call and place calls through your assistants. In a contact centre it takes the front line and the overflow: every call answered at the peak, in 30 languages, customer questions answered live through your own API once your own verification has passed, and anything sensitive handed to a person.

Why Nova

Your phone line is your front door

Nova Agents puts an AI receptionist on the business number you already have. It answers instantly, speaks naturally in your caller's language, and gets real work done on every call, so nobody hears a ringtone, a queue, or a voicemail again.

Always open

Evenings, weekends, bank holidays, the lunchtime rush: every caller is answered on the first ring. No queues, no voicemail, no “please call back during office hours”. Take the calls you want yourself and let it cover the rest.

A fraction of the cost of staffing

Pennies per minute, billed only while it talks. No salaries, rotas, or sick days, and it takes ten calls at once without breaking stride.

Does the work, not just the talking

Books, reschedules and cancels appointments, texts confirmations and reminders, answers from your documents, transfers to a human when it matters, and works your systems mid-call.

Your customers stay your customers

Every call, transcript and booking lands in your dashboard, not someone else's. Nothing is retained on the AI vendor's servers, ever, for anyone.

Stop sending customers to voicemail.

Somewhere right now, a competitor's phone just went unanswered. Put Nova on your line today, and be the business that always picks up.
